I have had an exciting opportunity as a Pastoral Welfare Officer become available at a Primary School in the L24 postcode for a role that has recently become available. This role is newly introduced, and so the school are looking for an educator with relevant experience across several key areas.

 Key Information:

Contract Type: Temporary-Permanent, School wish to offer the successful candidate a permanent contract following a successful trial period.

Contract Term: Full time 35 hours a week, Term time plus 5 INSET days.

Start Date: 1st September 2024

The Role: The school are looking for a candidate to support the provision of pastoral care within the school, addressing the mental and physical needs of pupils to overcome barriers to learning. The chosen candidate will provide advice and support to assist pupils with their social care and personal development. The role involves delivering interventions to individuals and groups to help promote pupils’ wellbeing (Therefore experience of delivering interventions is a requirement). The candidate must have a welcoming and friendly approach and build relationships with parents/carers and school and have a passion for helping young people. The role includes providing first aid and medical support to pupils and working alongside the attendance team to improve pupil attendance.
