Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor specialising in PE to join our team and support secondary schools in the vibrant city of Southampton.   • Classroom Management: Supervise PE classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring a positive and conducive learning environment.
  • Lesson Delivery: Deliver pre-prepared PE lessons and activities, ensuring students remain engaged and on task.
  • Student Support: Provide support and encouragement to students, helping them to achieve their full potential in PE.
  • Behaviour Management: Implement the school's behaviour policy effectively, maintaining discipline and order in the classroom.
  • Administrative Duties: Assist with administrative tasks such as taking attendance and reporting any issues to the appropriate staff members.
  • Extra-Curricular Activities: Support and participate in extra-curricular sports activities and events.
  • Education: A degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with young people, ideally in an educational or coaching setting.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage a classroom effectively.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to work in different schools across Southampton and adapt to various teaching styles and environments.
  • Passion for PE: A genuine passion for sports and physical education, and the ability to inspire students.
  • DBS Check: An enhanced DBS check will be required (Teaching Personnel can assist with this process).
