Are you passionate about Physical Education and eager to make a positive impact on young lives? We are seeking a dedicated PE Learning Support Assistant to join a team at an alternative provision school in the Liverpool area. The school offers a supportive environment for Key Stage 3 students who have faced challenges in mainstream education.

About the Role:
As a PE Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in helping students stay engaged in their learning, breaking down barriers, and encouraging them to reach their full potential. You will work alongside the PE department to support students in a variety of activities, fostering trust and building strong relationships. This is a highly rewarding role where your efforts can make a real difference in students' lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Key Stage 3 students during PE lessons, keeping them engaged and motivated.
  • Help students overcome any negative attitudes they may have towards learning and physical activity.
  • Build trustworthy and supportive relationships with students, helping them to grow in confidence and skill.
  • Work with children who may have Special Educational Needs (SEN), such as ADHD, and assist in managing challenging behaviour effectively.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Passionate about Physical Education and working with young people.
  • Previous experience in supporting children with special educational needs, particularly ADHD.
  • Experience in managing challenging behaviour in a school setting.
  • Empathetic, patient, and committed to helping students achieve to the best of their ability.
  • Able to form strong, positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Enthusiastic about making a real difference in an alternative provision setting.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
