We are looking to recruit a Sport/ PE LSA for a FE college in Greenwich. This contract role is to start immediately

Job Title: PE Learning Support Assistant (LSA)

Location: London Borough of Greenwich
Contract: Full-time, 5 days a week
Salary: £85 to £100 per day PAYE
Start Date: Immediate start

Are you passionate about sports and inspiring young people? Do you enjoy working in a dynamic and energetic environment? An FE College is looking for a dedicated PE Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team and help support students in their physical education journey!

As a PE Learning Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting our PE department in a range of sports activities including football, netball, basketball, and more. You will be working with children of various ages and abilities, helping them develop their skills, fitness, and a love for sport. You’ll work alongside PE teachers, assisting in lessons and extracurricular activities, and providing one-on-one or group support to students as needed.

  • Support PE teachers in delivering high-quality sports lessons and activities.
  • Assist students with varying levels of ability, ensuring inclusive participation in sports such as football, netball, basketball, and athletics.
  • Encourage and motivate students to engage in physical activities, promoting teamwork and sportsmanship.
  • Help set up equipment and ensure the safe and effective use of sports facilities.
  • Provide individual or group support to students who may need extra guidance.
  • Support extracurricular activities, including school sports teams and after-school clubs.
  • To be able to deal with challenging behaviour when needed
  • A passion for sports and working with children.
  • Experience in football, netball, basketball, or similar sports (coaching qualifications desirable but not essential).
  • Ability to work well in a team and build positive relationships with students.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude.
  • A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
