  • Plan and deliver engaging physical education lessons tailored to students with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Assess and monitor students' progress, adapting teaching methods as necessary to support individual learning needs.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and support staff to create inclusive and supportive learning environments.
  • Organise and oversee extracurricular sports activities and events for SEN students.
  • Provide feedback to students, parents, and school management on student performance and development.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Physical Education.
  • Specialist knowledge and experience in teaching students with special educational needs.
  • Strong understanding of SEN teaching strategies and best practises.

Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching physical education.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create and deliver engaging and inclusive lesson plans.
  • Strong classroom management abilities.
  • Additional training or certification in Special Educational Needs.
  • Experience working in a SEN-specific educational setting.

This role involves working in a school setting with students who have special educational needs. The teacher may need to adapt teaching methods and resources to meet the diverse needs of the students. The teacher will work full-time hours, following the school's academic calendar and schedule.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
