About your new job

Teaching Personnel is seeking a vibrant and hard working PE Teacher to join secondary schools in Liverpool starting September 2024. Do you have the skills to support and teach students PE and inspire the next generation of athletes?

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit numerous PE Teachers in Liverpool and the surrounding areas for full-time work in September 2024. This is a great opportunity for any Newly Qualified Teachers (NQT), someone who is looking to return to teaching and has relevant experience or just someone who is looking for a new or flexible role. The ideal candidate would have relevant knowledge of Physical Education both theory an practical, have strong classroom management skills and also be competent with the general curriculum in order to provide cover when teachers are absent.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver dynamic and engaging PE lessons to pupils aged 11-16.
  • Create good relationships with the students in order to help them reach their full potential.
  • Experience of being in front of a classroom.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to parents, students and other teachers to help with their learning development.
  • Partake in extra curricular workshops and provide 1:1 and small group support to struggling students.
  • Foster a positive learning environment and have strong classroom management skills.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Newly Qualified Teacher Status (NQT).
  • Relevant qualification in PE or similar subject.
  • Enhanced DBS cleared & uploaded to the update service (or willingness to apply)
  • Full right to work within the UK.
  • Have up to date safeguarding training or willing to take it. (Provided for free by Teaching Personnel).
