Salary: £30,000 - £46,525 per annum + SEN Allowance

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Physical Education Teacher to join our team at a reputable school in Okehampton, Devon. This position offers a temporary-to-permanent contract through Teaching Personnel, with a competitive salary ranging from £30,000 to £46,525 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to the base salary, a SEN Allowance will also be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Physical Education lessons tailored to the needs of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Create a supportive learning environment that fosters physical development, teamwork, and personal growth. Differentiate instruction to accommodate varying abilities and physical capacities within the classroom. Assess students' progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their development. Collaborate effectively with teaching assistants and other staff members to ensure a holistic approach to student care and education. Maintain accurate records of students' attendance, achievements, and behavior.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Physical Education, preferably within an SEN setting.
• Understanding of SEN practices and the ability to adapt teaching methods accordingly.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
• Commitment to promoting inclusion and equality in education.
