We are seeking a dedicated and passionate part-time Physical Education (PE) teacher to join a dynamic team at a diverse secondary school in Fareham. The successful candidate will also be responsible for general cover across various subjects when required.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality PE lessons to students of KS3 and KS4 abilities, in line with the national curriculum.
  • Provide general cover for other subjects, ensuring continuity of education during teacher absences.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that motivates students and promotes participation in physical activity.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to coordinate sports events, clubs, and extracurricular activities.
  • Adhere to and enforce all school policies regarding student safety and wellbeing.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching PE in a secondary school setting.
  • Ability to teach across a range of subjects as part of general cover.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
