Job Requirements: 

• BA degree in Physical Education
• PGCE or equivalent training course obtained
• QTS obtained (qualified teacher status) or equivalent
• Prior experience and a proven track record of teaching PE at a secondary level
• L3 or above sports coaching qualification
• A genuine passion and love for sport and PE

Job Description: 

• Plan and deliver a variety of exciting PE classes that encourage active participation
• Instill confidence into every pupil through creating an inclusive and positive learning environment
• Regularly and effectively assess pupil progress, providing informative feedback and ways to improve
• Promote teamwork, sportsmanship and positive reinforcement with each lesson
• Actively promote the participation in extra curricular activities
• Follow the PE national curriculum to plan appropriate lessons dependent on year group
• Adhere to schools policies and procedures at all times
• Ensure safeguarding principles are at the pinnacle of everything you do
• Collaborate well with colleagues to enhance the PE department and to encourage a love of sport and physical exercise throughout the school
