Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a qualified PE teacher to join our school in Birmingham  (September 2024 start).

Within this role, you will deliver PE lessons to students aged 11-16, covering various sports and physical skills. You will be expected to deliver engaging and active lessons in line with the National Curriculum, whilst making appropriate adjustments. You will look to develop technique and performance levels across a range of activities such as football, athletics, hockey and trampolining.

Primarily, you will encourage all students to participate in the lessons and promote a healthy lifestyle, competition, and sport progression. You may also have the opportunity to lead extra-curricular sports.

The correct candidate will have:

- A qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

- Experience teaching classes of up to 30 students

- Willingness to teach other subject when needed

- Good understanding of the PE curriculum 

- Enhanced DBS on the update service ( or willingness to obtain one)

Main Responsibilities:

- Teaching classes of up to 30 pupils.

- Assess and monitor students’ progress across the academic year.

- Encourage and motivate the learning of the pupils.

- Prepare and implement lessons to a high standard.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
