Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a PE teacher in a Secondary School in Newport. This role will be full time and will start as soon as possible. The successful candidate will be dedicated in the position, with a passion and great knowledge for all core sports within schools.  As a physical education teacher, you will have the opportunity to guide and inspire students in their journey to discover a love for sports to encourage health and physical activity. This role will be suitable for an experienced PE teacher, however we also encourage new and inspiring PE teachers who are looking to develop their professional growth and experience.

Hours: Full Time

Salary: Paid in line with MPS, starting at £157.66 daily

 

Successful PE Teacher Criteria:

-          Have a genuine passion about sports and be eager to inspire the next generation by becoming a role model to children and young people.

-          Deliver a variety of exciting PE lessons, whilst ensuring safety procedures to the entire class.

-          Encourage active participation by including multiple sports to expand student’s interest and enhance physical exercise throughout the school.

-          Promote teamwork, sportsmanship and positive reinforcement with each lesson.

-          Install confidence into every pupil by creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

-          Have a strong knowledge of the PE curriculum and an excellent understanding of different sports taught within schools.

 

Essential requirements:

-          PGCE or equivalent training course obtained

-          QTS obtained (qualified teacher status) or equivalent.

-          Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.

-          Enhanced DBS and registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
