Do you have a keen interest in performing arts, drama and theatre?
Would you like to cover Drama lessons in a secondary school?

Teaching Personnel are seeking a bubbly and motivated individual keen to cover Drama lessons on a full-time basis in a lovely secondary school in the Torfaen area. This is the perfect opportunity to work in a school setting without a teaching qualification but a passion for inspiring young learners.

About the role:

  • Covering Drama and English lessons.
  • All English cover will be pre-set!
  • Working closely with learners aged 11-16 and motivating their learning.
  • Full-time Monday to Friday 08:30am-15:00pm.
  • Exciting opportunity to inspire learners and offer a diverse and exciting school experience.
  • Opportunity to get involved with extra-curricular and the schools plays.

The school has a fantastic drama and English department and are seeking an individual who is passionate about performing arts. The school have said the chosen person doesn’t have to have a teaching qualification but similar experience is highly desirable. This is a role that would suit an individual that works closely with drama, performing arts or dance groups.

The pay scale ranges from £110 per day for Cover Supervisors but teacher rate for those with ‘Further Education PGCE’ or equivalent.

Start date: Monday 8th April 2024.
Contract length:
Until July 2024 (could be extended to next academic year pending successful probationary period).
Training:
Cover Supervisor and access to CPD Academy courses offered by Teaching Personnel.
