Teaching Personnel is excited to announce an opportunity for an enthusiastic PE teacher to join a prominent English-medium Secondary school in the Caerphilly area. The school is large and vibrant with 700 students between 11-18 and is  looking to grow its team of passionate and dedicated PE professionals. They are seeking a candidate who shares their enthusiasm for sports and physical education and is eager to contribute to a dynamic and supportive environment. Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a well-rounded PE curriculum for different grade levels, ensuring lessons are engaging and suitable for all students.
  • Evaluate and document student progress, offering constructive feedback to foster their growth and development.
  • Promote active participation by including a variety of sports, aiming to expand students’ interests and improve their overall physical fitness.
  • Plan and oversee extracurricular sports clubs, teams, and events, providing students with extra opportunities for skill enhancement, competition, and enjoyment.

Key requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be a Newl qualified Teacher (NQT) with relevant PE qualification
  • Be capable of delivering KS3 & KS4
  • Be able to plan, prepare and teach the curriculum to a high standard
  • Passion for physical fitness, student development and engagement in physical activity
