We are searching to appoint a highly skilled professional with specialisms in Physics to join the Science department at a well-established Secondary school in the BB4 area of Lancashire. This is a full-time role to begin in September 2024, with the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate.

The purpose of your role will be:

  • To implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students and to support a designated curriculum area as appropriate.
  • To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a teacher/form tutor.
  • To facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.
  • To contribute to raising standards of student attainment.

Relevant qualifications and experience required:

  • Postgraduate teaching qualification
  • Evidence of successful teaching experience across KS3/4
  • Evidence of consistently producing good results
  • The ability to use ICT effectively to engage students
