Teaching Personnel, a market-leading education agency, is excited to offer an incredible opportunity for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in [Location]. This role is specifically tailored to work with students with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), starting in January.

  • Provide tailored 1:1 or small group support to students with PMLD, ensuring their individual needs are met
  • Assist with personal care, mobility, and feeding as required, always maintaining dignity and respect
  • Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and work closely with teachers and therapists to enhance students' learning experience
  • Use a range of sensory and communication strategies to engage students in learning
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
  • Support with classroom management and general school duties
  • Experience working with children or young adults with PMLD or complex SEN
  • A caring, patient, and enthusiastic attitude
  • The ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, health & social care experience, etc.)
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
