Are you a compassionate and patient individual with experience supporting children with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD)? We are looking for a dedicated PMLD Teaching Assistant to join our specialist school in North Birmingham. Easily accessible via Public Transport, the school is purpose built for student with PMLD Needs and has a strong sense of Team Working staff. The school is currently looking for a CARING and HARD WORKING Teaching Assistant with relevent experience. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting students with PMLD, ensuring their physical, emotional, and educational needs are met.
  • Assisting with daily activities, including feeding, personal care, and mobility.
  • Implementing individualized learning plans and providing tailored support to help students achieve their full potential.
  • Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to create a nurturing and inclusive environment.
  • Using specialist equipment and resources to facilitate learning and promote independence.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or adults with PMLD or other complex needs.
  • A caring and patient approach, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Willingness to assist with personal care duties.
  • A valid DBS or willingness to apply for one.
