Are you available from mid September 2019?
If so, this role may be ideal for you!
A primary school in Blackburn are seeking a part time member of staff to cover PPA across KS1 and KS2. They are looking for the successful candidate to start on Monday 21st September. This role is covering an arranged absence and the current member of staff is due to return after Christmas however this may change. The school are looking for someone who is flexible with the end date for the role as the cover may be required in the Spring term. The Head Teacher has stated they are ideally looking for a PPA teacher 5 afternoons per week. There may be some flexibility with the working hours (mornings/ afternoons/ full days) once they have shortlisted suitable candidates.
You would be working across KS1 and KS2 covering PPA and would be expected to teach foundation subjects including Computing, PE, History, Geography and RE. As you would be covering foundation subjects, the majority of the planning is already prepared, you would have allocated time in the working week to ensure all the plans and resources are ready for the following week. The school is interested to meet with NQTs, RQTs and experienced teachers. The Head Teacher is keen to introduce themselves to the suitable candidates before the start date, in the current situation this may be via a phone/ video call. They may also want to conduct informal interviews via either a social distancing meet in school/ video call.
