Your Role: Responsibilities of a Graduate in a Primary School

 

As a graduate working in a primary school, you’ll play a pivotal role in nurturing and supporting young learners. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting Classroom Management: Assist in maintaining a positive learning environment by supporting the class teacher in managing behavior and promoting a culture of respect and inclusion.
  • Providing One-on-One Support: Work with individual students or small groups to offer additional help in areas where they may be struggling, ensuring they receive the guidance they need to progress.
  • Developing Educational Resources: Create and adapt learning materials that cater to the diverse learning styles and abilities of primary students, making complex concepts easier to understand.
  • Encouraging Positive Behaviour: Foster a supportive and encouraging environment, guiding students in developing social skills, teamwork, and a positive attitude towards learning.
  • Participating in School Activities: Engage in extracurricular activities and school events, helping to create a vibrant and inclusive school community.
  • Collaborating with Staff: Work closely with teachers, teaching assistants, and other school staff to ensure a cohesive approach to student development and well-being.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
