Primary PPA Teacher
A primary school in Accrington are looking for a part-time PPA teacher to cover across Key Stage 2. The Head Teacher is looking for a primary practitioner who is happy to teach across KS2 with consistent behaviour management. You would be teaching foundation subjects including Art, Geography, History, PE and R.E. With the PPA role, you would receive the long-term planning prior to starting in May.
You would be covering a gap in staffing and the role would be to start on Monday 24th May 2021 until Friday 16th July 2021, due to a staff member returning in September 2021 this role is unlikely to continue after this academic year. Whilst you cover PPA in the classrooms there is a full-time teaching assistant who is familiar with the class and the daily routines. Being familiar with the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum is essential. The school are interested to meet with NQTs, RQTs and experienced teachers for this role.
The Head Teacher would like to give suitable candidates the opportunity to arrange school visits prior to appointing. The Head Teacher is looking to shortlist and appoint by Friday 14th May 2021, this then gives the successful candidate time to come into school to meet the teachers and discuss the planning/ curriculum coverage.
