Role Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team on a part-time basis (3 days a week). The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the class teachers and children across all primary age groups, ensuring a high-quality educational experience for all.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging and effective lessons across various subjects.
  • Provide targeted support to students, including those with special educational needs (SEN), ensuring their individual needs are met.
  • Supervise and lead classes in the absence of the teacher, maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Support the development of educational resources and materials.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff, contributing to the school's welcoming community.
  • Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent.
  • Child only DBS on the update service
  • EWC registration
  • Previous experience working in a primary school setting.
  • Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage classrooms effectively and support diverse learning needs.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
