Position: Pastoral Lead

Location: Liverpool Primary School

Hours: Full-time

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

A large primary school in the North Liverpool area is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Pastoral Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to supporting the well-being and development of our students, ensuring they have a positive and nurturing school experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the school's pastoral care programs.
  • Provide individual support and counseling to students with emotional, social, or behavioural needs.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote a positive school culture and environment.
  • Work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to support students' well-being.
  • Monitor and track the progress and well-being of pupils, providing regular reports to senior leadership.
  • Organise and lead training for staff on pastoral care issues.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a pastoral care or similar role, preferably within a school setting.
  • Strong understanding of child development and safeguarding practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • A relevant qualification in education, counseling, or social work is desirable.
