Primary School Support Worker – Manchester

Are you passionate about pursuing a role which would entail you to support children within an education setting?

Teaching Personnel are currently working with schools in Manchester, to recruit for talented individuals to join our team to work within Primary Schools in Manchester as a Support Worker!

With this role you have the opportunity to choose the role of work you wish to pursue: whether you’re looking to stay within one particular school full time or wishing to offer support to various primary schools local to yourself to offer support.

How would your day look, day to day?

You  would be based in a classroom and work with a specific child, or 2 -3 children, that  require a little extra support with their academic work and some support to keep on task. You’ll be responsible for supporting the class teacher with the preparation of classwork and getting involved in fun activities to support children to stay engaged whilst at school such as, arts & crafts, music and sports!

You should show confidence and resilience with this role and be able to show strong behaviour management strategies. Some pupils may be a looked after child, have specialist educational needs or come from a deprived background – so understanding and nurture is important to have for this role.

The role would be Monday – Friday, term time only.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
