Overview: A lovely primary school in Thornton Heath is seeking a full-time Year 3 teacher to join their dedicated and culturally enriched educational community. This role welcomes both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to begin their teaching career in a supportive and faith-based environment. Primary School Teacher Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Delivery: Design and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons for Year 3 students, adhering to the National Curriculum and the school's Greek Orthodox ethos.
- Classroom Management: Create a positive, respectful classroom environment that encourages learning and supports student well-being.
- Student Assessment: Conduct regular assessments of student progress, providing feedback and tailoring instruction to meet individual learning needs.
- Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to support students' educational and spiritual development.
- Faith Integration: Incorporate Greek Orthodox values and teachings into the curriculum, fostering a deeper understanding of faith and culture among students.
- Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching practices and stay current with educational trends.
Primary School Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Must hold a valid teaching qualification.
- Experience: Open to both experienced teachers and ECTs. Previous experience in a primary school setting is beneficial.
- Passion for Teaching: A genuine enthusiasm for teaching and a commitment to creating a positive, inclusive learning environment.
- Cultural and Religious Sensitivity: An understanding and appreciation of Greek Orthodox culture and faith, with the ability to integrate these into teaching practices.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
