Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join our team at a lovely primary school in Kettering. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality education to students in Year 6, ensuring a stimulating and supportive learning environment. This is a full-time position that requires strong planning and marking skills, with a specific focus on Key Stage 2 experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Curriculum Planning: Develop and implement engaging and differentiated lesson plans that align with the National Curriculum for Year 6.
  2. Classroom Management: Create a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere that fosters academic and social development among students.
  3. Assessment and Marking: Conduct regular assessments, provide constructive feedback, and effectively mark students' work to track progress and support learning outcomes.
  4. Parental Communication: Maintain open and transparent communication with parents and guardians regarding students' progress, achievements, and areas for improvement.
  5. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with fellow teachers, support staff, and leadership to contribute to a cohesive and effective school team.
  6. Individualized Support: Identify and address the diverse learning needs of students, implementing strategies to support individual academic and personal growth.
  7. Maintain Records: Keep accurate records of students' achievements, attendance, and behavior, ensuring compliance with school policies and procedures.
  8. Professional Development: Stay updated on educational best practices, participate in relevant training and workshops, and contribute to continuous improvement within the school.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  2. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience working in Key Stage 2.
  3. Proven ability to plan, deliver, and assess effective and engaging lessons.
  4. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  6. A passion for education and a commitment to the academic and personal development of students.
