We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Primary SEN Teacher to join our team in the Skelmersdale area!

About the Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Primary SEN Teacher to work in a supportive and inclusive school setting. You will be responsible for delivering tailored lessons to meet the needs of children with a variety of learning difficulties, ensuring they can access education in a way that best suits their abilities and developmental levels.

You will play a vital role in providing a positive learning experience, working closely with teaching assistants, parents, and external specialists to help students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to meet the specific learning needs of children with SEN, in line with the national curriculum
  • Create individual education plans (IEPs) and monitor progress, adjusting strategies as needed
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and positive behaviour
  • Work collaboratively with parents, support staff, and multi-agency teams to ensure the best outcomes for each child
  • Promote social and emotional development alongside academic progress

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in SEN teaching at the primary level
  • A strong understanding of a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and moderate learning difficulties
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual learners
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
  • A commitment to the ongoing development and wellbeing of each child
