As a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) in the classroom
  • Assisting the class teacher with planning and delivering lessons
  • Providing one-to-one support to students as needed
  • Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Assisting with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Communicating effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals

No specific qualifications are required for this role.

A passion for education and a desire to support students with SEN.

Previous experience working with children or individuals with SEN is desirable but not essential.

Key skills for this role include:

  • Passion for education and supporting students with SEN
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Patience and empathy

Any relevant qualifications in education or special educational needs would be beneficial.

This role involves working in a school setting, collaborating closely with teachers and other support staff. The work is full-time and temporary in nature.
