Teaching Personnel are seeking to recruit a Primary School Teacher to work in a primary school based in the centre of Newcastle. The school are looking for an experienced and motivated teacher to work within the foundation phase on a full-time basis. The ideal teacher will have a good knowledge of the school’s curriculum and be able to plan and deliver lessons to fit with all abilities and needs of the class. You will also be responsible for monitoring the student’s progression, with evidence shown in in books that are regularly checked and marked. The role is starting in September 2024, with the possibility of the role extending until the end of the academic year.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience working in primary schools with knowledge of the Foundation Phase curriculum.
  • Passion for education and working with children.
  • Confident and enthusiastic when leading the class and keen to make a difference.
  • Committed to forming and maintaining positive relationships with the staff, children, and parents at the school.
  • Excellent communication skills and good behaviour management.

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS (child only) checks must be complete before the role will commence.
  • EWC registration – mandatory requirement in Wales.
  • Qualified Teaching Status (QTS).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
