Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Pay: Dependent on skills and experience

Are you a compassionate and nurturing primary teacher looking for a rewarding role? We are seeking a dedicated teacher to join our SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) provision in the Rawtenstall area on a maternity cover basis for one academic year, starting in December.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the needs of pupils with SEMH needs
  • Create a supportive, empathetic, and positive classroom environment
  • Build trusting relationships with students to encourage their academic, social, and emotional development
  • Work closely with support staff and external agencies to ensure the wellbeing of each pupil

Requirements:

  • Experience working within an SEMH or special educational needs setting is desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on empathy
  • Patience, resilience, and the ability to nurture pupils facing emotional and behavioural challenges
  • Relevant teaching qualifications

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
