Teaching Personnel have an exciting opportunity to work with an exceptional SEN school based in Cumbria. The school are looking to recruit a dedicated and passionate primary school teacher to join their team.

This school are primary setting providing high quality education. The school meets the needs of a diverse group of pupils with complex educational needs, communication difficulties and challenging behaviours.

 Key duties:

  • Contribute to the delivery and development of the curriculum, having regard to the educational, physical and social needs of the students within a learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of staff as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Maintain and use short-, medium- and long-term plans in delivering the curriculum.
  • Set, monitor and review personalised targets that will optimise learning for each individual.
  • Contribute to the review of Statements and EHC plans, PEP and LAC reviews.
  • Provide clear structures for lessons maintaining pace, motivation and challenge.
  • Assist in the development of the curriculum offer. To maintain an overall awareness of current issues in the field of autism in order to be able to plan for effective teaching and learning.
  • Manage a delegated budget as required

   Essential:

  • PGCE, QTS, QTLS teaching qualification and evidence of in-service training
