If the answer is YES, then we may just have the perfect role for you within a Primary School in Carmarthen with a high focus on supporting children with challenging behaviour.

The role will be highly challenging but will offer you great job satisfaction and sense of achievement.

What will the role involve?

  • Provide one-on-one support to children with behavioural challenges.
  • Getting involved in physical and practical activities.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualised behaviour plans.
  • Encourage and motivate children to reach their academic and behavioural goals.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a valid driving licence with access to own vehicle or able to get to the SA31 area.
  • Not be phased by high tariff behavioural difficulties.
  • Experience of supporting children or young adults with challenging behaviour.
  • Excellent knowledge of Autism.
  • Be able to provide a safe and positive learning environment and de-escalate any threatening or aggressive behaviour.
  • Be registered (or willing to register) with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
  • Be registered (or willing to register) with the DBS and DBS Update Service.
