Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) in their learning journey? This SEN School is seeking a dedicated Primary SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team starting ASAP until July.

About the Role: As a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll play a vital role in providing individualised support to primary-aged students with special educational needs. You'll work closely with teachers and SENCOs to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing one-on-one and small group support to students with a range of special educational needs, including autism, learning disabilities, and communication difficulties.
  • Assisting students in accessing the curriculum, participating in classroom activities, and developing essential life skills.
  • Implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies tailored to each student's needs.
  • Collaborating with teaching staff and external professionals to ensure the holistic development and well-being of students.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is desirable but not essential.
  • Compassion, patience, and empathy for children with diverse needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students.
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow professionally.
