Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant team. The successful candidate will assist classroom teachers in delivering high-quality education and ensuring that every student receives the support they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the classroom teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management.
  • Support individual students and small groups with their learning, ensuring they stay on task.
  • Help to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs.
  • Prepare and organize teaching materials and resources.
  • Provide administrative support, such as marking and record-keeping.
  • Supervise students during break times, on excursions, and in other non-classroom settings.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Encourage and support positive behavior in line with the school's behavior policy.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with children, particularly in an educational setting, is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for working with children.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Basic proficiency in using educational technology and software.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
