  • Supporting the primary teacher in delivering lessons
  • Assisting with classroom management and behaviour control
  • Providing one-on-one support to students who need extra help
  • Helping to prepare teaching materials and resources
  • Supervising students during break times and outings
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or Level 2 Childcare Qualification

Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths

Prior experience working with children in an educational setting

  • Understanding of child development principles
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Organisational skills and the ability to multitask
  • First Aid certification
  • Experience working with special educational needs students
  • Working hours may vary based on school schedule
  • May require physical activity such as standing and moving around the classroom
  • Work may involve exposure to typical classroom noise levels
