Do you have experience of teaching or supporting pupils within Primary Education?

Are you interested in becoming a flexible 1 to 1 tutor to children outside of mainstream schools?

At TP Tutors we have an exciting opportunity to help young children in West Oxfordshire with core primary subjects. We are looking for one to one tutors who are passionate in supporting children / young people with their development in Maths and English (sometimes can include Science) and want to make a real difference in their pupils lives. 

What are we looking for in a tutor?

  • Experience of working with children or young people.
  • Able to plan and deliver engaging sessions based around the needs of the learner.
  • Ability to develop effective behaviour management strategies and coping mechanisms.
  • Enthusiastic and passionate; ability to apply skills to raise children’s confidence within their learning.
  • Able to track progress and plan next steps in children’s learning journey towards their learning outcomes.
  • SEN experience is desirable but not essential.

The tutor roles are based in the West Oxfordshire area, which is easily accessible via car or public transport and has links with other towns nearby. 

To be successful in your application, you must be able to provide evidence of this as skills and experience. Please be aware that all applicants will be subject to background checks and will need a current DBS certificate (update service registered). Teaching Personnel can support your application should this be required.

Working hours are between Monday to Friday, 8.30am-3.30pm approximately, but you may be offered additional duties and responsibilities outside of these hours.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
