A highly reputable independent SEN school in Windsor is seeking a dedicated and experienced KS3/4 PSHE Teacher to join their permanent staff list starting from September 2024. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging PSHE lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, adapting teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of SEN students.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and implementing strategies to support student development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student well-being and academic achievement.
  • Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities to contribute to the school community.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience teaching PSHE at KS3 and KS4 levels, preferably within an SEN setting.
  • Strong understanding of SEN educational practices and a commitment to inclusive education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Demonstrated ability to create a supportive and stimulating learning environment.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • A proactive approach to professional development and a willingness to engage in continuous learning.
