Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a Psychology Graduate to join our client school in Manchester as a SEN Teaching Assistant. This position will be full time, starting in September.

The salary for this position will be between £420 and £500 per week. 

For this position:

  • You must be willing to apply for a fully enhanced DBS check.
  • You must be able to provide at least two employment-based references.
  • You must have a good understanding of safeguarding procedures; training will be provided throughout your application.

This position will come with large amounts of responsibility. Predominantly, you will be working alongside pupils who have autism, ADHD, dyslexia as well as other special educational needs. The pupils may display difficult behavioural traits, it is important that you will be able to learn how to manage this difficult behaviour.  You should be able to build supportive relationships with these pupils so that you are best able to support them in their learning development. To target their learning needs, you will be working with small groups of pupils or on a one-to-one basis. You may also be required to assist pupils with Education, Health, and Care plans.

The school currently has an Ofsted rating of 2, meaning that it is considered to be a good school. The school is located in Manchester, and it is easily commutable to from Wythenshawe, Moss Side, Didsbury and Fallowfield.
