Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant - Tameside
Teaching Personnel is seeking a motivated psychology graduate to join our team as a Teaching Assistant in secondary schools within the Tameside area, starting after the October half term. This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your knowledge and skills in a classroom setting and support the delivery of high-quality education.

The ideal candidate will hold a degree in psychology and possess excellent communication skills. You should have a passion for working with young people and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the classroom teacher with lesson planning and delivery.
  • Assisting in the preparation of teaching materials.
  • Providing additional support to individual students or small groups.
  • Helping to maintain a positive and safe learning environment.
  • Undertaking administrative tasks as needed.

Essential Requirements:

  • Degree in psychology or a related subject.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • A passion for working with young people.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Previous experience in an educational setting.
  • Knowledge of child development and learning theories.
  • Experience with students who have special educational needs.
