Are you a recent Psychology/Social Sciences Graduate?

Are you eager to dive into the educational realm for valuable experience?

If so, Teaching Personnel is collaborating with a Mainstream Primary School in Chadderton, commencing September 2024, seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a student with SEMH (Social, Emotional, Mental Health) needs. In this position, you'll engage with several students individually, providing educational assistance and addressing their external SEMH challenges.

We seek an individual with a robust grasp of Psychology and SEMH dynamics. Prior experience with students aged 4-11 would be advantageous, as would transferable skills from an educational background.

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support to students grappling with social, emotional, mental health hurdles.

• Implement pastoral interventions for SEN and SEMH students.

• Collaborate with the school SENCO to devise SEMH support plans.

• Possess safeguarding knowledge within a school environment (which can be acquired through Teaching Personnel).

 

You'll join a passionate faculty committed to the growth of SEN students. Working closely with the school SENCO and HLTAs, you'll gain insight into students' needs.

 

About the Role:

• PAYE rates ranging from £83.85 to £95 per day.

• Weekly pay via school timesheets.

• Conveniently located in OL9, accessible to individuals in Manchester, Tameside, and Oldham.

• Full-time position, Monday to Friday.

• Immediate start post-registration with Teaching Personnel.
