Are you psychology graduate looking to start a career in teaching? Are you looking to gain exposure to working in a classroom environment? Do you have a passion for primary education?

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit motivated and hard-working psychology graduates to fill teaching assistant roles in Walsall and surrounding areas. This role is to work alongside a classroom teacher in assisting the learning of both KS1 and KS2 students, identifying individual needs of the pupils and aiding with their academic progression.

There are competitive rates of pay starting from £83.85 per day.

Roles and responsibilities will include:

  • Work with students on a 1:1 basis, tailoring to their individual needs.
  • Collaborating with the main classroom teacher to effectively deliver.
  • Good classroom management skills.
  • A friendly demeanour with the ability to show patience and care with all students.
  • The successful candidate will be passionate about primary education and making a difference to the lives of youngsters.

Qualifications and skills:

  • Hold a university degree.
  • Have a keen passion for education.
  • Past teacher/teaching assistant experience is preferrable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
