We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pupil Support Worker to join our team at a Secondary School in Chorley that specializes in Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of young people facing additional challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs.
  • Assist in the development of tailored learning strategies and behaviour management plans.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive environment conducive to learning.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals to support the holistic development of each student.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience in working with children or young people with SEMH or similar special educational needs.
  • Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive and resilient approach to working in a dynamic educational setting.
  • Availability for full-time work.

This position initially offers the opportunity to familiarize yourself with the school environment on a trial basis. Successful candidates may be considered for a permanent role based on performance and fit within the team.
