School: SEN Specialist School (Ages 11-18)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Qualified Teacher to join our team at a partner SEN school in Bolton. This role involves working with secondary-aged pupils (11-18) who have complex learning difficulties, including Autism, physical disabilities, and other specialised needs. Our students work at levels below mainstream education, and class sizes are smaller to provide personalised attention and support.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Lead classes in thematic lessons and essential communication and life skills.
  • Create fun, activity-based lessons tailored to each student's needs, boosting confidence and practical skills.
  • Deliver vocational courses to equip students with life and employment skills.
  • Focus on students' Educational Healthcare Plans, driving their personalised learning paths.
  • Design and implement engaging lessons for small classes of children with profound, multiple, and severe learning, health, and care needs.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • NQT, Experienced QTS or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) preferred.
  • Relevant experience as a teacher, ideally with vulnerable children.
  • Holistic and therapeutic teaching approach is valued.
  • Suitable references and a DBS certificate (or eligibility to apply).
