Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and thought-provoking RE lessons to students at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Encourage students to explore various religious, ethical, and philosophical perspectives.
  • Assess, record, and report on student progress and attainment.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to enhance learning experiences.
  • Participate in departmental and whole school meetings, training, and events.
  • Support students' academic and personal development through tutoring and extracurricular activities.
  • Foster an inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, dialogue, and critical thinking.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Religious Education, Theology, Philosophy, or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching RE at the secondary school level is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of the RE curriculum and exam specifications.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and lifelong learning.
  • A passion for RE and the ability to inspire students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
