RE Teacher (Maternity Cover) - Glossop Area

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a well-established secondary school in the Glossop area, seeking to appoint a passionate and qualified Religious Education (RE) Teacher to cover a maternity leave starting in January.

Position Details:

  • Role: RE Teacher (Maternity Cover)
  • Location: Glossop area, Secondary School
  • Start Date: January
  • Duration: Maternity Cover (minimum two terms)
  • Contract: Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging RE lessons across KS3 and KS4, inspiring students to explore a variety of religious beliefs and ethical perspectives.
  • Prepare, plan, and assess student work to ensure academic progress.
  • Support students’ personal and social development in line with school values.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent in Religious Education.
  • Experience teaching RE at secondary level.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • A commitment to promoting a positive learning environment.
