RE Teacher

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated RE Teacher to join our dynamic secondary school in October. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of various religious traditions and a commitment to fostering an inclusive environment where students can explore their beliefs and values.

This is a long-term temporary placement from October until July. Payscales will be adhered to in this role from the start date.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that cover the principles, practices, and teachings of various religions.
  • Assess student learning through tests, quizzes, class participation, and homework assignments.
  • Create a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages open discussion about faith and spirituality.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate religious education into the broader curriculum.
  • Organize and lead school events related to religious observance and community service.
  • Provide guidance and support to students on matters of faith, ethics, and morality.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Relevant teaching certification or license.
  • Experience teaching religious education; enthusiasm for the subject is essential.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage students from diverse backgrounds.
  • A passion for promoting spiritual growth among young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
