Job Title: Reception Teacher

Salary: £30,000 - £49,084 per annum (pro rata)

Location: Ipswich, Suffolk

Contract: Part time, Permanent (0.4 - 0.5)

 

Teaching Personnels' Permanent Workforce Team are currently working with a Primary School who are actively looking to speak with a Reception Teacher to join their Early Years department from January 2025. This will be a part time position (0.4 - 0.5 per week) to start in the new year. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational Class Teacher who is or has the potential to be an outstanding practitioner, to teach in our fantastic school.

 

Key Duties:

  • Impart knowledge and develop understanding through effective use of lesson time
  • Promote a love of learning and children’s intellectual curiosity
  • Set homework and plan other out-of-class activities to consolidate and extend the knowledge and understanding pupils have acquired
  • Have a secure knowledge of the relevant subject(s) and curriculum areas, foster and maintain pupils’ interest in the subject, and address misunderstandings
  • Establish a safe and stimulating environment for pupils, rooted in mutual respect
  • Set goals that stretch and challenge pupils of all backgrounds, abilities and dispositions

 

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Degree or Equivalent.
  • Experience / teacher placement at primary school level.
  • Evidence of being an excellent classroom practitioner.
  • Current practices and strategic developments in primary education.
