Reception Teaching Assistant New

Smile Education is thrilled to be working alongside a vibrant primary school located in north Birmingham. We are currently seeking a Reception Teaching Assistant to join the team from September 2024.
We are currently seeking a Reception Teaching Assistant to join this friendly team from September 2024 until the end of the academic year. The successful applicant will be supporting pupils within a free-flow learning environment and helping pupils learn through play. There will be a particular focus on phonics and easing pupils into a more structured school day as the year progresses.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and busy primary school setting. The school is located in north Birmingham, within proximity to Nechells, Saltley Aston and Birmingham City Centre. The expected salary range for this role is between £80-90 per day, depending on experience.
What to expect from applicants?
We would like applications to hold a relevant teaching assistant qualification, such as Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning. Applicants should be confident in supporting pupils with phonics- familiarity with the Little Wandle scheme of work is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.

To be successful in your application, you should have experience in one or more of the following:

• Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification, such as Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning.
• Available for work full-time, Monday- Friday.
• Confident in supporting pupils learning phonics and working within a more free-flow environment
