Position: Religious Education Teacher

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and inspirational Religious Education Teacher to join our enthusiastic team. The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching and a deep understanding of various religious beliefs and practices, enabling them to deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality Religious Education lessons that cater to a diverse student body.
  • Creating a classroom environment that encourages respect, open-mindedness, and critical thinking.
  • Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement a dynamic Religious Education curriculum.
  • Participating in school events, parent meetings, and professional development activities.
  • Promoting the importance of religious and moral education within the wider school community.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A degree in Religious Education, Theology, or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Experience in teaching Religious Education at the secondary school level.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the National Curriculum for Religious Education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
