Job Title: Contract School HR Officer

Where: SEND School located in the London Borough of Bromley

Contract Duration: temp to perm

Daily Rate: £110 - £144 a day

 

Outstanding SEND School located in the London Borough of Bromley is recruiting a temp to perm 36 hours per week School HR Officer to start in September 2024.

The School HR Officer will be responsible for managing and overseeing the Human Resources function within their SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) school. This role involves implementing HR strategies, managing the recruitment process, maintaining HR databases, and ensuring compliance with school processes and policies.

  • Experience working as either an experienced HR Administrator or already a HR Officer, preferably within a school environment but not essential.
  • Able to have difficult conversation with staff members if required and must be resilient as their School HR Officer.
  • You live in commutable distance to the London borough of Bromley.
  • You have an enhance DBS or able to pay for a new one immediately.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall school strategy.
  • Advise school leadership on HR best practices to enhance staff performance and school culture.
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding of new staff.
  • Work closely with department heads to identify staffing needs and ensure timely recruitment.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with educational institutions and recruitment agencies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HR database.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Generate HR reports and analytics to support decision-making.
  • Ensure all HR policies and procedures are compliant with current legislation and school policies.
  • Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures.
  • Coordinate staff training and development programs to ensure continuous professional growth.
  • Administer payroll, benefits, and leave management.
  • Support performance management processes, including appraisals and professional development plans.
  • Handle inquiries and provide HR support to staff and management.
