Receptionist / Administration Assistant

Are you well-organized, efficient, and enthusiastic? We are recruiting for a Receptionist / Administration Assistant to join the supportive team at a secondary school based in Portsmouth. As the first point of contact for parents, carers, visitors, and staff, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting the smooth running of our school.

Role Details:

  • Position: Receptionist / Administration Assistant
  • Location: Portsmouth 
  • Start Date: September 2024
  • Contract: Permanent
  • Hours: 37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year (Term time plus 1 week)
  • Salary: pro rata to £18,177 - £21,467 (£20,252 - £23,918 FTE)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide a friendly, welcoming first point of contact for parents, carers, visitors, and staff.
  • Assist the Office Manager with administrative tasks.
  • Manage conflicting demands, deadlines, and interruptions methodically.
  • Maintain high standards and attention to detail.
  • Utilise excellent IT skills, including Microsoft 365.

Requirements:

  • GCSE Maths and English at grade 4 or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Clear communication skills and customer focus.
