Science Graduate Teaching Assistant – Full-Time in Chorlton-cum-Hardy

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Graduate to join an Ofsted-rated "Good" secondary school in Chorlton-cum-Hardy as a Teaching Assistant. This full-time role will begin in October and run until the end of the academic year, with the potential for the position to become permanent based on performance.

Role Overview:

  • Provide in-class support to Science teachers across all key stages, helping students access the curriculum and understand scientific concepts in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
  • Work closely with students in small groups or on a one-to-one basis to reinforce learning, address gaps in knowledge, and support exam preparation.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons by preparing materials, setting up practical experiments, and supporting classroom management.
  • Offer targeted support to students who may be struggling with specific areas of the subject, ensuring they stay on track and feel confident in their studies.
  • Help maintain a positive and productive learning environment, encouraging students to engage with the subject matter and develop their problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to develop differentiated learning resources, ensuring that all students are supported according to their individual needs.
  • Assist with tracking and monitoring student progress, contributing to reports and reviews with the teaching team.
